EGEE Bioinformatics Meeting #3, Valencia, 6-7 march 2007

http://gbio.ibcp.fr/egee/EGEE-Bioinfo3/Bienvenue.html

Bioinformatics is a major application area for the EGEE project. The bioinformatics sector targets gene and protein sequences analysis. It includes genomics, proteomics and phylogeny. The bioinformatics applications are now establishedas regular users of the infrastructure. The main goal of the Bioinformatics Activity in EGEE is to build a bioinformatics community around the EGEE platform.

Our next meeting will take place on March 6-7 in Valencia, hosted by Vicente Hernandez and Ignacio Blanquer at UPV. As discussed at last meeting in Lyon, there will be one full day for the meeting itself, and one half-day for a tutorial  about the ETICS software.  As on each meeting , one part of the agenda is dedicated to the report of your applications. So I propose to include a demo in the report that you will do in Valencia. It will be a good rehearsal to have a pool of demo available to demonstrate the grid-added value for our applications.
